Orange Empire Railway Museum OERM was founded in the early 50’s to save the last remaining remnants of early Los Angeles rail transportation. All Southern California Railways are represented at OERM, with the largest being the Los Angeles Railway (LARy), and the Pacific Electric, which was originally composed of the Pasadena and Los Angeles Railway and the Los Angeles Inter-Urban Railway.
As part of OERMs mission of a living past, the museum sponsors the only operational dual-gauge 3′ 6″ British and 4′ 8.5″ standard gauge electric trolley railroad in the world. With original, restored Los Angeles Railway (LARy) and Pacific Electric streetcars running on a nearly daily schedule for museum visitors.
